The Vancouver Public Library's Digital Services department needed a way to track the progress of team projects throughout the year. I was tasked with creating an interactive visualization that would provide an overview of projects and timelines so staff would be aware of work happening in other areas of the department.
After looking at various dashboard interfaces for inspiration and doing some rough sketches, I moved to working and iterating in the browser.
The project dashboard features three tabs for Community Digital Initiatives, Digital Collections and the Web Team. I included the ability to filter by month, as well as project phase in order to make it easy for staff to narrow in on specific task. In doing so, the design is easy to scan and navigate, despite the number of projects and phases happening each month.
